Progressive Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) is a group of people helping animals.

They are genuine animal lovers who delight in nothing more than the company of an animal friend who can spend hours in awe of the majestic eagle and regal peacock.

Like other wildlife organizations, the people at Paws understand that animals are essential to our lives.

It is also true that animals cannot speak for themselves, and they need maximum protection.

That is why Paws is on a mission to bring people who care about animals together to ensure that animals are safe and respected and have a voice when they need one.

Paws have been protecting animals since 1967 and have united over 130,000 companion animals with kind and loving families.

They have also taken care of 115,000 injured and orphaned wild animals and made the world a better place for several others via advocacy and education.

Paws’ Mission

Paws are a champion for all animals. Constantly rehabilitating injured and orphaned animals, sheltering and adopting homeless dogs and cats, and educating people to create a better planet for both people and animals.

Paws’ Vision

Paws has the vision to achieve a world where all people recognize the intrinsic value of wildlife and consistently make decisions that demonstrate respect and compassion.

Where is Paws?

Paws is located in Lynnwood, Washington, approximately 20 miles north of Seattle. They have a satellite adoption center named PAWS Cat City in Seattle’s University District. Paws is a regional organization focusing on Northwest and Washington State.
