Animals With Big Balls
Spread the love for animals! 🐾

The animal kingdom is filled with intrigue, surprise, and astounding discoveries.

Are we referring to the animals with big balls relative in size and weight?

Or are we discussing who, in terms of courage, has the biggest balls? Do you have the guts to do anything you want?

Which creatures do you believe ought to be included on our list of animals with big balls? Any thoughts?

Although some of the animals in this post are the most common animals with big balls in the animal kingdom, I can assure you that some of these contenders will surprise you. See if you can identify animals with big balls.

Check your understanding of animal anatomy by reading on! Let’s address each of them now, shall we?

1. Right Whale

Animals with big balls on the planet, in terms of actual size, come in first on our list as right whales.

Despite not being the largest whale species overall, the right whale has the largest testes of any whale species.

Even the Blue Whale, the biggest animal alive, is dwarfed by the Right Whale’s powerful brawn since his testicles are ten times bigger than the Blue Whale’s!

How huge are they actually, then? The largest testes on earth are found in the right whale, whose testicles may weigh over 1,100 pounds and measure an astounding 2.5 feet in circumference.

The Right Whale nonetheless prevails over the competition based on sheer mass, even though these are not particularly large compared to his size.

In the animal realm, attracting potential mates frequently involves having enormous testicles. It makes sense why these males are so well-liked by women.

2. Elephant

Elephants are the biggest land creatures, as we all know, but did you realize they are also animals with big balls? They do, in fact, have the largest testicles of all terrestrial mammals, and for good reason!

When it comes to the battle of the testicles, it wouldn’t be very fair for an animal weighing up to 15,000 pounds to place anywhere other than first, but Mother Nature appears to have been mindful of that when she designed the male elephant’s anatomy.

Male elephants already carry much weight; their testicles can add another 10 pounds.

These guys attain sexual maturity between the ages of 10 and 14, and they can survive up to 80 in captivity, even though they don’t truly reach “bull” status until they are about 35 years old.

It only makes sense that an animal with such a massive size and a long lifetime would have testes to match.

3. Golden/Syrian Hamster

Funny enough, not all of the animals on this list are as large as you might anticipate.

Other animals can compete with the Right Whale and Elephant in size, even though these two have some of the largest testes on the planet.

The Golden Hamster (also known as the Syrian Hamster) is one of those animals with big balls; in the world of rodents, he is the winner of this competition regarding testicle size in relation to overall body size!

Despite his small size compared to most animals, his cojones tell an entirely different story.

The Right Whale’s enormous testes, which only account for 2% of his overall body size, are dwarfed by those of the Golden Hamster.

This adorable little fluff ball tops the list of rodent testicles because his testicles account for a whopping 3% of his entire body size.

Despite their name, these little animals with big balls aren’t always golden. They can truly be any combination of black, red, white, and other colors.

4. Northern Giant Mouse Lemur

The Northern Giant Mouse Lemur is another animal that has earned a spot on our list.

They live on the island of Madagascar and were just recently found in 2005.

One way the Northern Giant Mouse Lemur differs from many of its Lemur relatives is that numerous males have been observed sharing nests.

They are also active tiny creatures who will breed all year long, which is unusual for many species and may be the cause of those enormous cojones of theirs!

Northern Giant Mouse Lemurs have the largest testes of any primate (and animal) species about their body size.

They measure about 15 cubic centimeters, nearly eight times larger than their other Lemur relatives.

That’s a remarkable feat for an animal whose entire body weight only increases to 11 ounces!

5. Ram

Scientists think their “promiscuous” behavior—that is, they mate with several partners—is connected to their large testicle size. Mother Nature ensured that they were well stocked.

Ram is the next on our list of animals with big balls. Wow, look at those Ram’s enormous balls without being too filthy!

The scrotal circumference of adult rams can measure a whopping 28 cm. Ram testicles are reportedly even considered a delicacy in Iceland.

6. Chimpanzee

Even though we descended from chimpanzees and our two species have many of the same DNA, it appears that not everything was passed down to us.

In certain respects, a chimpanzee is considerably smaller than an adult human.

Most people know how strong our monkey relatives are compared to us, but male chimpanzees also far outweigh men regarding testicle size!

Chimpanzee testicles weigh between 150 and 170 grams, or around three times as much as a male human.

It makes sense that the male chimp would need to find a strategy to keep up with the promiscuous mating habits of the females.

It’s interesting to note that male primates with ornamentation (brightly colored male parts) have smaller testes than those without, which makes them more seductive to females.

Additionally, species known for lifelong partnerships, such as the gorilla, have smaller testicles than their more promiscuous relatives. Not everything is as vital as having bigger balls, after all!

7. Bull

by YellowstoneNPS is licensed under CC BY 2.0

This is the next on our list of animals with big balls. Compared to cows, bulls have significantly higher muscle mass.

They have bigger feet, thicker bones, a powerful neck, and a massive, bony skull with ridges protecting the eyes.

These characteristics help bulls compete to rule a herd, granting the victor better access to cows for procreation.

The body hair is usually shorter, although there is frequently a “mane” of woolly, curlier hair on the head and neck.

Bulls often stand around the same height as cows, if not slightly taller, but they weigh significantly more because of their increased bone and muscle development.

A bull typically has a hump on his shoulders. Daily sperm output is directly tied to a bull’s capacity to impregnate a sufficient number of cows or heifers throughout a breeding season, which is correlated with scrotal circumference.

Bulls that father heifers with greater scrotal circumferences typically have earlier puberty.

8. Tuberous Bush Cricket

by berniedup is licensed under CC BY-SA 2.0

Last on our list of animals with big balls is one you certainly didn’t anticipate.

Despite being one of the tiniest, tuberous bush crickets, he has been shown to have the largest testicles about his body weight anywhere on Earth!

You might assume that, at half the size of a human finger, his testes wouldn’t qualify him for this competition, and you wouldn’t be mistaken.

But reconsider! The tiny Tuberous Bush Cricket has such enormous cojones that he holds the world record for having the largest testes about body size.

This guy is top contender in the animal kingdom because his testicles comprise 14% of his body mass.

Scientists theorize that this is caused by the promiscuous mating behaviors of female Tuberous Bush Crickets, who have been observed to mate with up to 23 males during their brief adult lives of two months.

The guys had to figure out how to measure up to breed as much as possible, and it appears they did! Should we stop saying “breeding like rabbits” and start saying “breeding like crickets?
